Dragons dropped into Ravens Wood!

Over 200 Year 9 students from Ravens Wood got a chance to find out what it’s like to be an entrepreneur at a recent event at the school. The students worked in teams to develop a new soft drink for a target audience along with a marketing campaign to launch the product.

They were guided through the activity by volunteer Dragons - representatives from local business and the community.  The young people learned skills highly valued by employers such as planning, time and budget management, team working, problem solving and how to deliver a successful presentation! 

We would like to thank all 15 business volunteers who supported the event and especially the six new Dragons from Direct Line Group, Bromley who thoroughly enjoyed meeting and working with the young people.  Andrew Manning (DLG) said ‘It was one of the most exhilarating days I can remember!'
