10 members of staff from the CoSec team at Direct Line Group, Bromley set aside time from working to volunteer as a team to support young people in the community on Wednesday 12th July.
Bromley EBP organised an employability event for over 40 Year 12 students from Darrick Wood School who are not planning to go onto University when they finish their studies. The event was designed to help them make the most of their potential in an increasingly competitive workplace. Direct Line staff joined a group of experienced business ambassadors at the school to work with the young people on a range of activities to help them find out more about the world of work. Students benefitted from help with updating their CV as well as a one to one interview with an employer.
The day was a great success and the team from Direct Line were impressed with the young people and one said “It was lovely to work with such a talented and motivated group of students. I wish them all the best in the future.
