Success at Bell Group, Orpington
In November, a group of Year 11 students from Bromley Beacon Academy completed a week’s work experience with a range of local employers. The placements were sourced by Bromley EBP and matched to individual student requirements. For some of the young people, this was their first taste of the working world and there were a number of real successes to celebrate.
Bell Group UK in Orpington, one of the largest contract painters & decorators in the United Kingdom, took Georgio on work experience as an office assistant. He got involved in the range of office duties and also accompanied the contracts manager on site visits. Mark Bicknell, Senior Contracts Manager contacted us to give us feedback on Georgio’s commitment and enthusiasm during the placement. All the team he worked with were particularly impressed with his IT skills and kept him busy on this aspect of work.
Bell Group UK are keen to retain talent when they see it and have offered Georgio another work placement in the summer and are keen to offer of an Apprenticeship when he leaves school in summer 2018!
BEBP have been partnering with Bell Group for some time and look forward to developing this working relationship in the future.
