Thanks to our employer partners!
Once again our local and national employer partners stepped up to the mark by volunteering to help support young people from Bromley schools. 55 sixth form students from Bullers Wood and Hayes who do not intend to go onto University when they finish their studies came along to meet the employers at BEBP’s Next Steps event on Friday 8th March.
The aim of the event was for business representatives to provide support with the students’ employability skills and their transition to the workplace. London South East Colleges provided information on the range of apprenticeship opportunities available to them and how best to apply. DWP gave some very practical tips on using social media to help with job seeking skills and pitfalls to avoid.
The feedback from students was very positive and they really engaged well with the businesses during the speed networking sessions. We would like to thank some of our employers who supported the event including Bell Group, RSM UK, Clarion Housing Group, FM Conway, Waterman Group, Mytime Active and Chicane School of Motoring.
Our last Next Steps event for this academic year will take place on 27th March for students from Coopers and Ravens Wood Schools.
