Employers go back to school!
A range of local employer representatives went back to school on Tuesday 2nd July! They offered to share their knowledge and experience of the world of work with Year 10 students (aged 14/15) at Coopers School in Chislehurst.
The overall aim of the day was to look at the skills employers value in today’s workplace and provide the young people with information on changes around the recruitment and selection process. The business ambassadors worked with a group of students and helped them through a basic psychometric test. This helped them identify their particular skills and how these would be useful in a team working situation. One of the students said ‘It was interesting to learn about interviews and practical skills to use. Our business person made things interesting and I liked the personality quiz’
Our thanks go to Bell Group, DWP, Direct Line Group, Mytime Active and our community volunteers for giving up their time to work with the young people.
