EBP helping the local Covid-19 response
Jane and Anne are working hard to keep the Bromley Mentoring Initiative going through the pandemic – which has been difficult with all the restrictions in place and the fast-changing situation. They have arranged some safe and very valuable virtual/telephone mentoring for vulnerable young people.
Since January, the rest of the EBP team have been involved in supporting the rapid testing programme which aims to identify people with Covid-19 who have no symptoms, and asks them to self-isolate to protect others, especially our clinically most vulnerable residents. The testing is predominantly for those who regularly come into contact with people outside their household such as key workers.
Sarah, Karen and Louise are working at the test sites in an operational capacity whilst Emma and Lesley are providing support to the team and on the telephone assistance line.
EBP is still operating on a reduced capacity and we look forward to a time when the situation allows us to return to our ‘business as usual’ role meeting young people and employers.
