Young Entrepreneurs at Langley Boys

Young entrepreneurs from Year 9 at Langley Park School for Boys overcame some of the obstacles involved in setting up a business working in teams to create a new soft drink.  As well as developing the product, they also worked on a marketing campaign to launch it to their particular target audience. Volunteer ‘Dragons’ from local and national organisations helped them through the process and then judged the winning team for each class.

The feedback from the students proved the morning was a real success and one young person said ‘I learnt how hard it is to create an innovative product and how expensive it is to get a company off the ground’.

Our thanks go to our employer partners who made the event possible including Ames Consultancy, Chicane School of Motoring, FLR Spectron, RBS and Thackray Williams.”
