Work Experience with Bromley Council
Ever thought about a placement with the London Borough of Bromley?
Bromley EBP coordinates the Borough's work experience scheme offering placements each year in a variety of departments across the Council. Placements are available to young people in Years 10, 11 and 12 who are looking for work experience as part of an organised school scheme. Priority for placements is given to Bromley Children Looked After and young people who live in Bromley and/or attend a Bromley school.
Placements are for 1 week in term time only and will be offered during the summer term 2025 on a first come first served basis.
Please note that we are unable to accommodate requests for extended placements.
Applications are now closed. Any new applications received from now on will be added to a waitlist; however, we cannot guarantee a placement and advise students to continue looking for an alternative placement.
How do I apply for a placement?
You need to be in Year 10 or above, attend a Bromley secondary school or live in the Borough and looking for a placement as part of an organised school scheme.
All students are required to apply for a placement by completing an application form which can be found in the downloads section.
You should approach the application process as if you are applying for a job, stating why you are interested in a work experience placement with a local authority department. Your application will then be considered, and a placement allocated according to strength of application, interest and availability.
